Galvanized guy wires
Stay strands is one of SwedWire’s specialities. The strands are manufactured in many different standards, IEC, DIN, BS, ASTM, NS, SS etc. and with zinc layers up to 70 µm. If desired, the strands can be delivered greased with different types of lubricants.
If the customer has demands on low residual elongation we have the possibility to prestress the strands and measure and certify the modulus of elasticity. If desired the strands can also be delivered in exact lengths with casted or pressed end fittings according to valid specification.

Zinc corrosion according to BSK
| In the interior with a low degree of pollution | 0,5 – 0,8 µm/year |
| In areas with increased degree of air pollutions, in bigger cities, industrial cities or close to the coast | 0,8 – 2 µm/year |
| In areas with a high degree of aggressive air pollutions, i.e. close to chemical industries | 2 – 5 µm/year |
| In areas with permanent high humidity or salt water winds | 2 – 10 µm/year |
